We stopped by the day before memorial day to see if we could catch a nice sunset and some fish at the mill dam/bridge in Centerport. The bridge really is a special location that makes a great walk. The restaurants situated on the south side of the dam, The Mill Pond House and the Thatched Cottage are perfectly located for gorgeous views on a daily basis. Fleet’s Cove beach is a small beach located in Centerport, NY. It is one of many little beaches that are scattered along Long Island’s North Coast. You can see the tips of the LIPA Stacks in the distance and also a nice view of Northport Bay. The playground here wasn’t that great and the sand, as usual on LI, is a bit rocky. All in all not a bad place if you are in the area but I don’t see any reason for anyone...
