The Charles E. Ransom Beach and playground is located in Bayville Road just as it sweeps to the East running parallel to the Long Island Sound. The main reason to come here is to get wet and enjoy some fun in the sun. The playground might be a nice choice for kids later on in the day but during a hot day you could fry an egg on it. Clay Pitts/William J. Byrne Park is a decent place to go if you are in the community.  As of the summer of 2009, there is a new playground with two areas, one for younger and one for older kids to play on.  The floor of the playground area is very flexible and feels like it can absorb falls well.
