This is a WordPress website that I created to give me a personal site while being in the New York Islanders Blog Box. The original website, Yes! Islanders is doing great, and has had over 30 NYI bloggers sign up to have their sites aggregated through it. I’m very proud of the site, but I feel I’ve outgrown for use as my personal New York Islanders blog. The new site is being aggregated to Yes! Islanders so you won’t miss a beat, and I’ll have a new domain to play around with and hopefully create a nice community there.
For those of you unfamiliar with the blog box, it is a progressive program created by the New York Islanders that allows team bloggers media passes for select games during the year. Bloggers are screened through an interview process and then selected to become blog box members. This has been a dream of mine for some time, to provide coverage for the team grew up following in the what I feel is the greatest sport on earth, hockey. if you love the Islanders check in at either Yes! Islanders or Islanders Top Shelf for some up to date musings about the team.
This is also an example of a style of WordPress website that I can make for any prospective clients. I really think the social media bar on the right side, which contains links to my Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and RSS feed, will be a popular addition to any modern company or personal website/blog. Many more links like that are possible so if you’re connected out there to social media sites and want that added in a stylish way to your site, contact me and we can discuss how to go about that.
