When you get to New Hampshire, anywhere that you might go as a tourist has a kiosk filled with brochures for all of the places you might wish to go. We originally had no idea there was an Anheuser-Busch brewery near Manchester, so we decided to visit.

We got a free guided tour of the plant as well as a few beers and a poster. The Merrimack brewery is Anheuser Busch’s smallest brewery in America and it is enormous. During the tour they explain about the brewing process as you walk though the enormous vats that hold the beer in it’s different stages of development.

At the end of the tour, we had our choice of some beers so we got a Budweiser and a Stella Artois. We thought there might be something special about having a fresh beer, but ultimately it was exactly the same as what comes out of the bottle from your local supermarket.

We got a bonus after the tour as they took one of the Clydesdale horses that was staying there out for pictures. They are indeed huge beasts.
