I went to Sand City – Hobart’s Beach Park to attempt some sunset shots. I arrived a little too late to the beach and missed anything I would consider decent as far as coloring in the horizon and cloud cover. Sometimes it just isn’t in the cards. I did manage to watch an awesome lightning storm in the Long Island Sound between Connecticut and Long Island and took about 1,000 photos trying to catch lightning in a bottle. I posted anything remotely decent, and learned that taking shots of lightning takes a lot of patience and fiddling around with settings on the Nikon D90.
